thumb_karim_rashid_kant_stool_3ug.jpgBar stools don’t always have to be sleek, dark, and sophisticated. In certain places, it’s okay for bar stools to be fun, whimsical, and even cute. That’s why I like the Karim Rashid Kant Stool. It’s so darling. I can just imagine it in a boutique, nail parlor, or kids’ cafeteria. Put it in an outdoor play area, pair it with some playful outdoor bistro tables, and you’re all set. I also think that if you added a big pair of googly eyes to the front of the seat, the stool would look like something from a Pixar film. But that’s just me.

The Karim Rashid Kant Stool has a seat made from polypropylene, and a structure made from reinforced polypropylene. It’s available in a wide range of seat colors, including black, blue, light blue, magenta, military green, orange, pink, sand, and white. The structure is available in a similar range of shades.

Did I mention that the seats are not only interchangeable, but antibacterial as well? And let’s face it - we could all use a little health boost this time of year. The Karim Rashid Kant Stool is well suited for indoor or outdoor use, and has a carrying capacity of 200kg. The dimensions for the stool are: W 33.4 x D 45.3 x H 79.2 cm.

In summary, what we’ve got here is an adorable bar stool that comes in plenty of interchangeable colors, holds a lot of weight, stands up to the elements, and helps prevent disease. Shouldn’t there be a special design award for something like this? If this thing can offer world peace, I am so buying one. (I’ve actually got some hope for that; I mean, how could anyone stay angry while looking at this stool? Especially if you take my advice and add the googly eyes. Hmmm…)
